A quick history lesson

Empowerment and Liberation

I always knew that I wanted to be a therapist that owned my own business

I learned from a young age that traditional work structures were not build for and do not serve women, mothers, or aspiring mothers. My mom gave up her career aspirations to stay home with me and and my brother until I was eight when she decided to go to graduate school to become an LMFT.

I knew that if I wanted a career that could support me and grow with me in all seasons of my life— and especially motherhood— I would have to build it myself.

Enter, Root to Rise Therapy – the LA-based, all cash-pay group therapy practice I built in 2019 from the ground up. As the Founder & CEO I have grown RTR to high six figure annual revenue with five therapists in just three years, all while entering my motherhood years.

Resilience and Triumph

My drive for financial stability and a flexible, fulfilling business was ignited by my father

My resolve to become a financially independent, successful business owner was initiated by family tragedy that turned my life upside down. In 2017 my dad went for a fairly routine surgery that resulted in his spine being severed. He instantly became a quadriplegic who required constant care, ushering in the complete collapse of my family’s financial security and emotional stability, and my owns hero’s journey.

Following this tragedy it became clear to me that I wanted financial stability, safety, and comfort for myself, while creating a scalable business model where I could flex up or down my work hours depending on the season of my life, my own personal energy cycles, and the needs of my family.

I wanted to create a business that could run like clockwork so that I could step away from the day to day of the business while still netting 6 figures. And thats exactly what I did.

My journey has been about so much more than professional success; it's been about crafting a life of joy, rest, and family time—a life that honors my father by achieving the freedom he was robbed of— and a career that allows me to be present for my family while still making good money.

My mission

to redefine Motherhood and Business

I support therapist mothers and aspiring mothers to scale their practices so that they can buy back their time and build Motherhood-friendly businesses. From the vantage point of a therapist mother who:

  • Built a high six figure, full cash pay group therapy practice in a completely saturated city, that all but runs without me. 

  • Who was motivated by personal tragedy and loss, and taught myself tools of resilience and regulation

  • Sought out coaching, mentorship, therapy, yoga, and other healing modalities

  • Reparented myself to parent my child

  • Went ALL in on my personal finances to build personal wealth AND scale to a high six figure business following personal family tragedy

  • And also done all of this while entering the mother years, during my pregnancy and then my 1st year postpartum. 

  • Own a high six figure therapy practice & netted 6 figures while working 6 hours a week in my 1st year postpartum

At the core of my mission is a deep desire to liberate mothers from traditional jobs that are simply not built for us.

It is not only possible to be a present mother and a successful business owner — motherhood has been my superpower, allowing me to streamline my business, achieve financial independence, and reclaim my precious time. I built the business that I have today because I am a mother, not despite it.

I see myself as a thought leader in a movement of mother business owners, many of whom are the first of our entire lineage to be entrepreneurs running multiple six and seven figure businesses. Together we will steward this new era of mamas who are changing the landscape of what it means to be a CEO Mama, leading with femininity, benevolence, and also power.
